Working on the allotment during the COVID-19 outbreak

Important information for all allotment membersWe are all being asked to live our lives differently because of the Coronavirus epidemic. We need your help to preserve the allotments as a usable outdoor area for all who are able to get there.

  • The communal shed is not to be used until further notice.
  • The machine shed may be used but you must wipe the handles of any machinery you use before and after using it, wear gloves and wash your hands thoroughly as soon as you get home.
  • Keep children and dogs on your own plot.
  • You may bring one supervised guest to help you on your plot.
  • Further guidance notes will be posted on all gates. Please follow them.
  • No-one other than allotment members should be entering the site so you must lock gates on entering and leaving.
  • If you see anything of concern, contact Sarah on 07791 556495 or Jan on 07834550919

We all need to be able to get fresh air, exercise, grow our own food and benefit from the therapeutic benefits of gardening so please, be considerate and kind to each other.Stay safe, stay well. With very best wishes
Sarah Laming – Chairperson, Summer Street Allotment Association
